Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Domestic Solar Roofer to join our team, focusing exclusively on the maintenance and repair of existing solar panel systems on residential properties. This role does not involve new installations but requires expertise in diagnosing and resolving roofing issues related to solar PV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of solar panel roofing systems to ensure structural integrity.
- Identify and repair roof leaks, damaged mounting systems, and faulty seals affecting solar panels.
- Install Bird Meshing
- Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of solar installations.
- Replace or adjust roof tiles, flashing, and mounting brackets as needed.
- Work closely with electricians to ensure safe and compliant solar system functionality.
- Maintain accurate service records and provide reports on maintenance activities.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including working at heights and handling roofing materials safely.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in roofing maintenance, preferably with solar PV systems.
- Comfortable working at heights and using appropriate safety equipment.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, waterproofing techniques, and solar mounting systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve roof-related issues affecting solar panels.
- Valid CSCS card (preferred).
