We are currently working with a Renewable Energy company based in London who are seeking a skilled and experienced Renewable Heating and Cooling Mechanical Estimator to join their team. They are a leading provider of renewable energy solutions in the Greater London domestic market. They specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of sustainable heating and cooling systems. The business operates across the Greater London residential market, delivering integrated heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions designed to enhance energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and long-term building performance.
Responsibilities
- Designing radiant ceiling systems, underfloor heating, and mechanical ventilation systems for bespoke residential properties
- Carrying out heat loss and cooling load calculations using internal design tools and project data
- Producing schematic drawings, mechanical layouts, and supporting technical documentation
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
- Preparing material schedules and supporting project costing and tender information
- Assisting with product evaluation, technical development, and system optimisation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ yearsβ experience in mechanical design β ideally with exposure to radiant heating/cooling or MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation w/ Heat Recovery) systems. If not they can train you in these systems.
- In-depth knowledge of renewable heating and cooling systems, including solar thermal, heat pumps, and ventilation systems
- Competent in AutoCAD or Revit, and Excel-based calculations. (Essential)
- Detail-focused, proactive, and confident communicating with architects and contractors.
- Passionate about sustainability and wellbeing in building design.
Salary & Remuneration
- Basic Salary Β£38K β Β£45K
- Hours: Mon-Fri β 9am β 5:30pm
- Hybrid Working β 2 Days Home β 3 In the office or onsite visits
- 21 Days + BH
- Private Medical Insurance β After 12 Months Employment
