Low Carbon Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing renewable energy installer based in Cornwall who are looking for a fully qualified Heating & Plumbing Engineer to join their growing team. Operating for over 8 years, the business is a fully MCS accredited installer working with leading manufacturers including Vaillant, Daikin and Mitsubishi. Projects are based exclusively across the Southwest, covering large domestic properties and selected commercial installations. In addition to air source heat pumps, the company also installs ground source heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers, offering engineers exposure to a broad range of renewable technologies. All materials are delivered directly to site, allowing installations to run smoothly and efficiently.
The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of air source heat pump systems, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction on every project.
Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission air source and ground source heat pump systems
- Work with associated equipment including unvented cylinders, underfloor heating, radiators and controls
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and fault-finding on existing systems
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and health & safety standards
- Provide a professional, customer-focused service and explain system operation to clients when required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing & Heating
- Unvented Hot Water Cylinder qualification
- Experience installing unvented cylinders
- Site experience on domestic and/or commercial projects
- Strong customer service skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Previous experience installing air source or ground source heat pumps
- Heat Pump qualification (training can be provided)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary - £42,000 - £45,000 D.O.E
