Electrician – NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS) Location: East Anglia (with occasional travel to areas such as Cambridgeshire and Suffolk) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £50,000 (negotiable above this) Start Date: ASAP About the Role An exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Electrician / NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to take a leading role in ensuring electrical compliance and installation excellence across renewable energy projects. The company has been established for over 20 years and are industry leaders in the ASHP and GSHP sector. This position combines hands on installation and maintenance with responsibility for supervision, compliance, and technical guidance. The role involves everything from initial site surveys and design input to final commissioning, ensuring every system meets safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Installation & Testing * Perform first and second fix electrical installations for ASHP and GSHP systems * Carry out inspections, testing, and commissioning for both domestic and commercial sites * Work with single-phase and 3-phase setups as required * Install consumer units, isolators, cabling, controls, and integrate heat pump technology * Provide weekend on-call technical support one weekend per month Supervision & Technical Oversight Act as NICEIC QS, signing off internal electrical work Provide technical guidance to team members and subcontractors Conduct pre- and post-installation site surveys, including electrical load assessments Lead toolbox talks and on-site training sessions Ensure strict compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations Compliance & Reporting Adhere to BS7671, Part P, and MCS standards for all installations Produce EICRs, Minor Works Certificates, and complete NICEIC documentation Maintain NICEIC accreditation, manage annual audits, certification records, and CPD tracking Promote health and safety best practices, ensuring all RAMS are properly followed Project Scope Domestic installations: Up to 24kW Commercial installations: Ranging from 300kW to 800kW System Types: Primarily ASHP, with select GSHP deployments Geographic Focus: Projects largely based in East Anglia Candidate Requirements NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Inspection & Testing NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status (or eligible) Full UK driving licence Familiarity with renewable heating systems (desirable) Strong communication and organisational abilities Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Benefits Package * Competitive basic salary up to £50,000 (with flexibility for the right candidate) * Enhanced overtime rates (including weekends at 1.5x or TOIL options) * Paid travel time for commutes exceeding one hour * Profit Share Scheme * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Paid leave during Christmas and New Year * Pension contribution * Company vehicle and fuel card * Provided tools and equipment * Accommodation and meals (where overnight stays are required, rarely) * Dedicated support for NICEIC administration * Ongoing training, CPD opportunities, and career development * Opportunity to work on pioneering renewable energy installations * Supportive team culture
