MEICA Manager – Tier 1 Civils & Construction Contractor – Belfast – Hybrid

Hays are working in partnership with a leading Civils & Construction contractor in their recruitment for a MEICA Manager. With over 80 years’ experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland, this is a great opportunity for an experienced MEICA Engineer to join their civils division.
Your new role:
As a MEICA Manager, you will work across projects offering support to site teams, ensuring that the MEICA systems are designed, installed and commissioned to required standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve 3 days travel within UK and/or RoI on a weekly basis, but the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing delivery of utilities to meet programme constraints
- Managing pre-construction activities and deliverables associated with any MEICA subcontract and associated interfaces
- Ensuring coordination with other design disciplines
- Supporting excellence in health and safety standards
- Managing technical approvals to ensure compliance, acceptance and timely procurement
- Ensuring MEICA programme milestones are achieved
- Providing technical support to site teams with regard to subcontract works
- Ensuring installation standards are adhered to and compliant with contractual requirements
- Regular reporting on KPI’s
- Ensuring systems are commissioned in a timely manner and in line with industry standards and project requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with supply chain
- Strong drive for continuous improvement
What you\’ll need to succeed:
- Self-starter able to work within different teams across the business
- Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) or time served in any of the following; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- 5+ years industry experience
- Independent working and drive for results
- Knowledge of MEICA systems
- Water/wastewater experience
- Access to a vehicle and qualified to drive
- Excellent time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office knowledge
