Ashlands Manor is a purpose-built care home facility in Sale, South Manchester. The home is registered to provide care to 57 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our inâhouse trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. To be responsible for organising the Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to enable the dining experience for our residents to be smooth and efficient at all times. You are responsible for dining room preparation, cleanliness and set up, for ensuring that the meals are served in a timely, presentable and correct manner. This role is an exciting role leading a team of Hospitality Assistants including rotas, training, and supervisions. We have a 40 hour contract available with an hourly rate of ÂŁ13.20! Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality service.
- Support and assist visitors.
- Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures, as per company HACCP.
- Ensure that all training given is adhered to.
- Ensure records and reports are properly written up e.g. cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures and that all HACCP paperwork is completed.
- Manage, allocate duties and supervise the hospitality team ensuring a quality delivery of care for the duration of the shift.
- Coach staff and participate in ongoing development of staff.
- Take responsibility for promoting safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and experience required
- Dining or Restaurant Supervisor experience is essential.
- Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the team is essential.
- Participation in activities organised in the Home is essential.
