About Eden Manor

Eden Manor is a luxury purpose-built care home facility providing care for up to 80 residents. The home is designed for people requiring Residential, Dementia and End of Life care.

Situated in a quiet residential area within the Morton area of Carlisle in Cumbria, the home provides residents with a peaceful environment. The home is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and Chances Park.

The home proudly embodies the Lovett Care commitment to excellence, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and supported. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership to the care team and effective 24-hour management of the home. Full time contract available with an hourly rate of £15.50 (from 1st May). Shift times are 1945-0800, with alternate weekend working.

  • Promote the highest standard of person centred clinical nursing care to residents
  • Manage, allocate duties and supervise the care team ensuring quality delivery of care
  • Be a role model and demonstrate person centred care delivery
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults
  • Manage the delivery of residents' personalised care according to their agreed plan
  • Provide supervision, coaching and assessment to Care Assistants
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care
  • Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and regulatory bodies
  • Manage daily rotas and delegate daily workload ensuring safe use of manpower
  • Build relationships with external professionals

What You'll Need

  • Medication management and administration experience
  • Experience working with older people
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent (or achieve within first 12 months)
  • Evidence of ability to contribute to assessment, planning and evaluation of care needs
  • Sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and confidence
