We're seeking a kind, enthusiastic Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Home.

You'll work alongside our Wellbeing Coordinator to create meaningful experiences for 72 residents with diverse care needs.

0 hour BANK contract available at £12.71 per hour.

Shift times are 10:00-15:00 or 11:00-16:00, including weekend working. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Create weekly activity programmes that stimulate physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Design innovative activities so residents achieve extraordinary things with their capabilities
  • Guide other staff to incorporate wellbeing activities into their roles
  • Learn each resident's life story and contribute to their individual wellbeing plans
  • Ensure risk assessments are in place for all activities
  • Understand the needs of people with various conditions
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents

Skills and experience required

  • Experience of working with older people
  • Experience of delivering activity programmes
  • Ability to assess, plan and evaluate activity needs of older people
  • Strong teamwork and individual working skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively
  • Creative, imaginative and enthusiastic with forward planning abilities
