We are working with a Further Education provider in Cambridge who requires a media technician to support their music and creative industries departments and students. This is a 10 week temporary position, starting quickly for the right person, working at the college’s Cambridge campus.
On a day‑to‑day basis you’ll be involved with:
- Showing students how to use media equipment, as well as demonstrating processes and techniques
- Preparing learning materials
- Maintaining the college’s equipment, studios and resources
- Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
- Assisting with the department’s activities such as gigs, shows and other events
- Booking in and out equipment and studios
- Maintaining stock levels and records, ensuring equipment is fully operational, or managing/making appropriate repairs
The ideal person for this role will have:
- Worked as a technician, or similar, in the media sector including film, music, radio etc.
- H&S knowledge and skills
- Excellent technical and media skills, including digital media software
- MS Office
This temporary position offers an hourly rate of £13 – 14.11 per hour, plus holiday pay and is initially for a 10 week period working 37 hours per week.
