Temporary Executive Research Consultant - Leadership Recruitment Location: City of London Contract: 1 December 2026 - 31 May 2027 Are you an experienced executive search or talent research professional with a passion for identifying exceptional senior leadership talent? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established global Leadership Recruitment team, supporting strategic hiring across Europe. As an Executive Research Consultant , you will combine in-depth market research, talent intelligence and executive search expertise to identify outstanding leadership talent and provide valuable insights to senior business stakeholders. Working closely with Leadership Recruiters and Managing Directors, you'll play a key role in shaping search strategies and informing critical hiring decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead research activities for senior leadership searches, translating hiring briefs into targeted research strategies and market maps. Identify and engage high-calibre executive talent through professional networks, databases and open-source research. Build and maintain candidate longlists, talent pipelines and detailed market maps. Produce market and competitor intelligence reports, identifying talent trends, competitor activity and emerging leadership talent pools. Assess candidate suitability against role requirements, providing evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders. Build trusted relationships with Managing Directors, recruiters and senior candidates, delivering a professional and engaging candidate experience. Manage multiple search projects simultaneously, ensuring research quality, accurate documentation and timely delivery. Prepare executive-ready presentations and briefings, communicating research findings, market insights and recommendations. Contribute to improving research tools, processes and knowledge sharing across the Leadership Recruitment team. About You You'll be an accomplished executive search or talent research professional who combines strong analytical skills with commercial awareness and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders. You'll ideally bring: At least 5 years' experience in executive search, leadership recruitment, executive research or talent intelligence. Proven experience delivering executive-level market mapping, competitor research, talent identification and candidate longlisting. Strong research skills, with the ability to uncover hard-to-find senior talent and evaluate information from multiple sources. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn complex research into clear, commercially relevant insights. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the credibility to work with Managing Directors and senior leaders. Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information. Confidence using research platforms, CRM or applicant tracking systems, Excel and presentation software. Experience within a global business, professional services, technology or digital markets would be advantageous. Why Apply?
