We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Receptionist / Customer Service professional to join a busy veterinary clinic in West London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is confident in a busy, high-volume environment . As this is a veterinary setting, compassion, empathy and a calm, caring approach are essential . You will be speaking with pet owners who may be worried or distressed, so the ability to remain professional while providing a reassuring and understanding service is incredibly important.
The Role
Providing a friendly, professional, and compassionate front-of-house service
Handling a high volume of calls and customer enquiries
Supporting clients who may be worried, upset or concerned about their pets
Managing queries efficiently while maintaining a calm and empathetic approach
Using internal systems to accurately record and update information
Supporting the wider reception team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic
Communicating confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Shift Patterns
Shifts will be confirmed week by week , with flexibility required.
Early: 8:15am - 4:45pm
Mid: 9:30am - 6:00pm
Late: 10:30am - 7:00pm
We're Looking For
Previous front-of-house, reception, or customer service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A compassionate, empathetic, and caring approach
Comfortable working in a busy, high-call-volume environment
Able to remain calm, professional, and patient when dealing with challenging situations
Strong technical and systems ability, with confidence learning new software
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
