We are seeking a reliable and efficient courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely collection/delivery of our customers' belongings, ensuring that all items are handled with care. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and navigating various routes effectively. The Courier will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in delivery services. Pay: Up to £200.00 per day
Requirements:
- Load and unload packages, ensuring that heavy lifting is performed safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any necessary documentation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including sorting and organising packages for delivery
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role, with knowledge of commercial driving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks associated with warehouse operations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and colleagues effectively
- Familiarity with navigation systems and local roadways to ensure timely deliveries
- A valid driving licence suitable for operating a van or similar vehicle is essential
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules
