Are you friendly and caring?
Do you want to help individuals in the local community?

Volunteer Action (VA) is looking for good people to act as one-to-one Befrienders to isolated and lonely older people in the local community. Could you help?
The role is face to face in the older person’s home. One visit/call per week is the norm and timings can be arranged to suit both parties.
Full training is given and a DBS check is required.

We are currently looking for support for
• A friendly, chatty gentleman in Thrapston
• A lively lady in a village north of Oundle
• 2 quiet but friendly ladies living in villages to the west of Oundle.
• An alert and well-informed lady living in a local care home.

We also operate a telephone befriending scheme, if that would better suit your lifestyle and commitments.
