Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact, develop your skills, and build a long-term career in accounting and finance? At Lovell, we’re looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities, work closely with experienced finance leaders, and receive support towards a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the Finance Business Partner and wider Finance team with a variety of financial reporting and accounting activities.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, assist with month-end reporting, produce financial reports, support customer credit checks and tender submissions, and help to monitor cash receipts and achieve monthly cash targets.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, perform bank reconciliations, manage invoice registers and support the external audit process.
  • Assist with Anaplan administration, respond to user queries and contribute to finance projects and process improvements that help drive efficiency and add value across the business.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree (2:1 or above) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related subject, or an AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
  • The ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A genuine interest in progressing towards a professional accounting qualification.
