At Lovell, we're looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities, work closely with experienced finance leaders, and receive support towards a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
As a Finance Assistant, you'll support the Finance Business Partner and wider Finance team with a variety of financial reporting and accounting activities. This includes:
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end reporting
- Producing financial reports
- Supporting customer credit checks and tender submissions
- Helping to monitor cash receipts and achieve monthly cash targets
- Maintaining fixed asset records
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Managing invoice registers
- Supporting the external audit process
- Assisting with Anaplan administration
- Responding to user queries
- Contributing to finance projects and process improvements that help drive efficiency and add value across the business
We're keen to hear from ambitious individuals who are eager to build a successful career in finance. You'll ideally have:
- A degree (2:1 or above) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related subject, or an AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis
- The ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine interest in progressing towards a professional accounting qualification
