The impact you’ll have: Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, we are seeking a Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC). You will provide finance and accountancy support to the finance team and the wider business, focusing on management accounting, financial reporting, business partnering, and other ad hoc projects.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting processes for management reporting, audit, tax, and statutory accounts in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
- Assist in developing automated and controlled finance processes.
- Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts and entity-level reports.
- Analyze and comment on P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow variances against prior periods and budgets to identify results and trends.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded for month-end closing.
- Support the review of FX gains/losses and intercompany transactions.
- Participate actively in year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures to support growth.
- Provide ad hoc reports to support management decision-making.
- Maintain a good understanding of internal controls and document end-to-end processes.
Requirements:
- Hold a professional accountancy accreditation (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
- Be newly qualified or close to qualification.
- Demonstrate the ability to work quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Have previous experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience working in the tech or travel sector.
- Experience with SUN accounting software.
