The impact you’ll have:

Reporting initially to the Head of Finance Center of Excellence (COE), you will bridge the gap between core financial operations and the future of automated finance. This is a pivotal, individual contributor role where you will start by mastering our supplier reconciliation and dispute resolution processes, using those insights to lead a transformational, AI-enabled redesign of how we work. Your medium-term goal is to automate the operational elements of your own role, shifting your focus toward reviewing and refining group-wide processes to significantly increase team capacity. You will act as a subject matter expert in finance automation, influencing how the COE functions.

Your day-to-day:

• Operational Excellence

• Inbox Management: Support the management for the supplier inbox, ensuring all communications are handled professionally and timely.
• Statement Reconciliations: Meticulously perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements to ensure internal records are accurate and up to date.
• Supplier Liaison & dispute resolution: Work directly with external suppliers to manage and resolve queries and build strong professional relationships.
• Reporting: Support with the preparation of KPI reports.

• Process Redesign: Critically evaluate the end-to-end reconciliation workflow to identify manual bottlenecks and design streamlined, scalable alternatives.
• AI & Automation Implementation: Actively explore and deploy AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive operational tasks and data entry.
• Capacity Optimization: Continuously review existing COE workflows to identify efficiency gains through AI and Automation.
• Data led decisions: Perform data driven diagnostics of operational performance to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in workflows.
• Project Leadership: Act as the technical lead on process improvement initiatives, moving from conception to delivery while ensuring all changes meet strict quality standards.

Desirable:

• G Suite experience
• Experience working in the tech / travel sector
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Previous experience with automation tools (e.g., n8n, Alteryx) or AI in a professional finance setting

The interview journey:

• Talent Acquisition Partner screening – 30 mins
• 1st stage with Hiring Manager – 45 mins (combination of technical and non-technical interview)
• Case Study – A timed task focused on identifying automation opportunities within a standard financial process
• Final stage with key stakeholders in office – 1 hour
