We are seeking a motivated Wills & Probate Solicitor or experienced Fee Earner to join our growing private client team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive firm that prides itself on delivering high-quality legal advice and exceptional client care.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload while contributing positively to the wider team, ensuring efficient file management, strong client relationships, and compliance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload of Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Lasting Powers of Attorney from instruction to completion
- Drafting Wills and related estate planning documentation
- Advising clients on inheritance tax and estate planning matters
- Handling probate applications and estate administration efficiently
- Liaising with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC, and third parties
- Attending client meetings and delivering clear, practical legal advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and promoting firm services where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements, and firm procedures
- Maintaining accurate file records and confidentiality standards
- Efficient case administration and billing in line with agreed targets
- Regular review and management of debts, work in progress, and disbursements
- Accurate and timely time recording
- Keeping up to date with legal developments through continuing professional development
- Working in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
