Scope
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our members' well-being and independence, regardless of the setting, which includes both traditional care homes and specialised rehabilitation facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct care to members by supporting and promoting their independence, choice, dignity, and overall well-being, in alignment with each members Personal Care Plan.
Assisting Washing, Showering, Bathing?and Dessing
Promoting continence and also assisting with toileting, mobility, food and fluid intake
Use of moving and handling equipment, wheelchairs and any specific mobility aid required by a member
Providing ongoing support for the members, their family and supporting the Nursing team.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of each members life story, preferences and routines to deliver truly individualised care.
Provide emotional support, reassurance and meaningful engagement, particularly for members living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation within Lovedays digital care systems and promptly escalate concerns to the nurse or manager.
Actively promote safeguarding, report concerns immediately, and uphold Lovedays commitment to transparency and duty of candour.
Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures at all times to maintain a safe environment for members, visitors and colleagues.
Deliver care with five-star hospitality standards, including professional presentation, courteous communication and exceptional service etiquette.
Work collaboratively with all departments to create a seamless, enriching experience for members.
