As a Housing Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living activities, and help individuals achieve personal goals. You will empower adults to live independently in their own homes and in the community, which may include days out, shopping, social clubs, activities, and developing skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care as required.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialised, person-centred support to adults in their own homes and community settings.
- Assist with daily living activities and help clients work towards personal goals.
- Support engagement in activities such as days out, shopping, social clubs and skill-building tasks.
- Promote independence, dignity and confidence through empowerment and respectful care.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate
- Resourceful with a can-do attitude, showing consistency and patience.
- Ability to build rapport and positive relationships with a wide variety of people.
- A desire to grow and develop skills within a supportive environment.
- Ability to empower and inspire confidence in others.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Experience in dealing with vulnerable adults with Autism or Learning Disabilities would be advantageous, whether personal or professional.
