Job Description
Working closely with the Development teams, Architecture team, and Operations teams, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, monitoring solutions, and infrastructure as code practices that enable rapid, reliable software delivery. \\n Previous experience of working in a similar role and in the financial sector or an ability to provide examples of working in a service critical environment are advantageous. \\n As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all deployment processes and automation meet regulatory requirements, namely PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials.
This will include the introduction of standards to ensure conformity within the PayPoint development and deployment workflows. \\n\\n This role is Hybrid with a requirement to be onsite at least once a month in Liverpool/Welwyn Garden City. \\n\\n Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions \\n • Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure \\n • Automate deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments \\n • Implement security scanning and compliance checks within deployment pipelines \\n • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability \\n • Support incident response and root cause analysis for production issues \\n • Manage configuration management and secrets management solutions \\n • Deployment automation and release management processes \\n • Application and infrastructure monitoring and observability \\n • Performance optimization and capacity planning \\n • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)\\n • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployment models \\n • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana stack)\\n • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)\\n • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and SecDevOps principles \\n • Experience with agile development methodologies \\n\\n It would be great if you have the following \\n• Experience with Azure DevOps administration \\n • Knowledge of database deployment automation and migration strategies \\n • Familiarity with microservices architecture and deployment patterns \\n • Knowledge of network security and firewall management \\n • Certification in Azure, AWS, or DevOps methodologies \\n • Experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing \\n • Experience in financial services or regulated industries \\n • Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks \\n • Experience with automated testing frameworks and test automation \\n • Understanding of site reliability engineering (SRE) principles \\n\\n 25 days’ holiday per year, plus bank holidays \\n~ Company sick pay from day 1\\n~ Company pension scheme \\n~ UK health care cover \\n~ Staff Everyday Benefits card offering discounts with multiple retailers (10%)\\n~ Corporate travel scheme with Merseyrail, Northern rail, Arriva & Transport for Wales \\n~ Fabulous kitchen space which offers free tea and coffee \\n~ Faith room open to all denominations along with dedicated kitchen space for Halal and Kosher food preparation \\n~ Family friendly leave \\n~ Community volunteering policy which allows you 2 days per year to support the community with charitable events \\n\\n\\n As a disability-confident committed company, we have a passion for championing equality.
