We are working with a Further Education provider in Cambridge who requires an experienced SEND, Learning Support, Inclusion Assistant Head to support the Supported Learning offering at the College. This is a newly created post that you can make your own!
You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day practical and theoretical activities for students, ensuring they have personalised and ambitious programmes. Also, you will work closely with other Assistant Heads, Technicians and lecturers with the goal of maximising support offered and student achievements.
In addition, you will be involved with:
- Delivering ad-hoc teaching and cover as required, ensuring that curriculum delivery is maintained
- Providing feedback and progress reports to students, parents/guardians, relevant external parties and the Head of Department
- Developing the world of work agenda
- Assisting with new student admissions
- Leading on Schemes of Work, Lesson Plans and Assessment Schemes
- The all-round operational management of the function, supporting the Head of Department.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar capacity supporting a Learning Support function, as well as having staff leadership experience/responsibilities. This is a permanent position offering a salary of up to £44,400 per annum plus excellent benefits, together with excellent benefits that include a generous pension plan, free gym membership, 27 days annual leave and free onsite parking. Please note this is a full-year position, not term-time only.
