We are working with a leading intellectual property firm who are seeking a Legal Secretary to support their IP Solicitors within the Trade Marks team. The role is based in the City of London and offers hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working remotely. This is a full-time, permanent position and would suit an experienced legal secretary, ideally with Intellectual Property experience and exposure to litigation-heavy work.
On a day to day basis you will be involved in:
- Preparing correspondence, formal documents and agreements
- Assisting with litigation work, including preparing court bundles
- Case file management, including opening and closing files on Inprotech and CMS
- Completing conflict checks
- Adding, updating and managing key deadlines and reminders
- PA support including arranging travel, booking flights, diary and meeting management
- Typing correspondence and documents (digital dictation and audio typing) and preparing standard letters
- Client invoicing, including debit and credit notes
- Completing expenses requests
- Assisting with emails, post, scanning and photocopying
- Maintaining electronic client files
This role would suit someone with previous legal secretarial experience, preferably within Intellectual Property and a litigation-focused environment. Strong typing skills are essential, along with excellent spelling and grammar and a high level of attention to detail. Experience of client billing within a complex billing structure is required. Experience using digital dictation is desirable.
This is a permanent position offering a salary in the region of Β£35,000 to Β£45,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. If this role is of interest, please submit your CV.
