Temporary Finance Administrator
Location: Remote / Ocassional travel to the London office
Salary: Β£17.00 per hour + holiday pay
Contract: Temporary ongoing role 3-6 months
Hours: 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday
About the organisation
We're working with a longstanding, not-for-profit organisation that works closely with the Police Service, government, businesses and communities across the UK to help reduce crime and create safer places for everyone.
As part of the wider National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) prevention network, the organisation delivers innovative crime prevention and demand reduction initiatives, working with a wide range of partners including local authorities, housing associations, developers, manufacturers, security specialists and other key stakeholders.

About the role
We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Finance Administrator to provide financial and administrative support for one of the organisations key projects.
This is a varied role where you'll play an important part in ensuring customers receive an efficient and professional service, while supporting the smooth running of the end-to-end financial administration process.
You'll be a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, managing enquiries and quotations through to purchase orders, invoicing, payment recording and credit control.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is confident communicating with a range of customers, suppliers and internal colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and respond to enquiries received through the inquiries inbox, providing a professional and timely customer service.
- Prepare and issue accurate customer quotations using Salesforce.
- Process supplier request forms and ensure records are maintained in line with organisational procedures.
- Manage customer purchase orders, including checking documentation and recording purchase order details in Salesforce.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices through a CRM.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and carry out proactive credit control, following up on overdue payments.
- Accurately record customer payments in the CRM and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Maintain accurate administrative and financial documentation.
- Support reporting requirements and contribute to improving processes and customer service standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and suppliers to ensure enquiries and financial administration are dealt with efficiently.
About you
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and commercially aware , with excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts administration or similar role.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.
- Experience using finance, CRM or business management systems such as Salesforce or similar .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to analyse information, identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.The ability to work independently while also being a supportive and collaborative team member.
- An understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
