Temporary Chief of Staff

6 month contract

Pay: £38.50 - £43.50 per hour

Hours: 37.5 per week

Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Chief of Staff to help ensure the CEO operates effectively across a wide range of internal and external engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executive Support
    • Prepare briefing packs, summaries and background notes
    • Review documents, highlighting key points and required actions
    • Ensure the CEO has the right information ahead of meetings
    • Track actions and follow-ups from CEO-related meetings
  • Meetings & Follow-up
    • Attend selected meetings to capture notes, decisions and actions
    • Produce clear meeting summaries and maintain action trackers
    • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of actions
    • Coordinate presentations, reports and supporting materials
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Work closely with the Executive Assistant to align priorities
    • Liaise with senior leaders to gather information for the CEO
    • Act as a central coordination point for information flowing into and out of the CEO's office
  • Board & Governance
    • Support preparation of Board and Committee materials
    • Collate papers and documents ahead of meetings
    • Maintain accurate records of actions and documentation
  • Information Management
    • Maintain structured systems for documentation and action tracking
    • Support preparation of internal presentations and reports
    • Handle sensitive information with discretion
What you will bring:
  • Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams
  • Excellent organisation, coordination and written communication skills
  • Ability to summarise information clearly and accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • High levels of discretion and professionalism
  • It is desirable that you have experience in regulated or complex organisations, as well as experience supporting Board or executive governance processes
