My client, a leading international retailer known for delivering high-quality products at outstanding value to millions of customers across Europe, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join their team on an 8-week temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident ER professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and can hit the ground running.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing expert guidance and coaching to managers on employment law and people policies, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, restructures, and equality matters.
  • Supporting fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making across the business.
  • Identifying employment law risks and advising on appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Coaching managers on best practice and employment law processes.
  • Monitoring case trends and using data insights to drive improvements and compliance.
  • Supporting the wider HR team with Employee Relations administration and processes.
  • Keeping up to date with current employment legislation and HR best practice.

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations-focused role.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidelines.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience in retail or hospitality environments is advantageous.
