My client is a leading international retailer known for delivering high-quality products at outstanding value to millions of customers across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join their team on an 8-week temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident ER professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and can hit the ground running.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing expert guidance and coaching to managers on employment law and people policies, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, restructures, and equality matters
  • Supporting fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making across the business
  • Identifying employment law risks and advising on appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Coaching managers on best practice and employment law processes
  • Monitoring case trends and using data insights to drive improvements and compliance
  • Supporting the wider HR team with Employee Relations administration and processes
  • Keeping up to date with current employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations-focused role
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidelines
  • Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience in retail or hospitality environments is advantageous
