A mid-sized asset management firm is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join its collaborative HR team. This is a varied generalist role, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, recruitment, HR operations, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR projects.
The successful candidate will provide practical HR advice to managers, support business-wide people initiatives, and help ensure the smooth delivery of HR processes and services across the organisation. Key Responsibilities- Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, absence management, occupational health referrals, and family-friendly policies.
- Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage probation reviews and support performance improvement processes.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including agency management, advertising, interview coordination, onboarding, and induction.
- Produce HR documentation including contracts, promotion letters, salary increase notifications, and employment-related correspondence.
- Support payroll and benefits administration, including pension communications, employee benefits updates, and invoice processing.
- Prepare and analyse HR metrics and management information, including headcount, turnover, recruitment, and remuneration reporting.
- Maintain accurate HR records, HR systems, organisational charts, and intranet content.
- Coordinate internal and external training activities and maintain employee training records.
- Contribute to HR projects, annual remuneration processes, and wider people initiatives.
- Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisory role.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
- Experience working within financial services is advantageous.
- Strong HR systems knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
