Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Temporary Retail Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy Glasgow store.

Working alongside an established Shop Manager and dedicated volunteer team, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high retail standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professional standards with customers, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Assist with sorting, organising, pricing, and displaying donated items.
  • Replenish stock and ensure the shop floor remains clean, well-presented, and fully stocked.
  • Process sales transactions accurately, including cash and card payments.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for the volunteer team.
  • Support rota management and help ensure adequate volunteer and staff cover.
  • Provide administrative support to the Shop Manager as required.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and engaging shopping environment.

  • Previous experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to support and motivate others.
  • Experience of cash handling and stock control.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
