Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to help keep their facilities in outstanding condition. This is a key role in ensuring members and guests enjoy a safe, welcoming and high-quality environment every day of the week. You’ll take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance across the sites within your remit, helping to create an exceptional experience for everyone who walks through the doors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Playing an active role in maintaining and improving the operational standards across our client’s facilities
- Using your technical skills to positively impact the overall member experience
- Delivering great service by ensuring facilities are safe, well-maintained and always looking their best
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding quickly to any issues or defects
- Managing tasks through a property management system to ensure efficient completion
- Engaging with members and understanding how facilities are used so you can help improve their experience
- Supporting the leadership team with health and safety compliance and documentation
- Helping to ensure everyone on site enjoys a safe and healthy environment
- Assisting with resolving member feedback and maintenance-related issues in a timely manner
- Managing repairs, ordering parts and following operational and financial procedures
- Sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues and supporting the wider team
- Taking part in additional tasks or projects when required
- Occasionally working outside standard hours to ensure the highest standards are maintained

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- A technical trade or discipline such as carpentry, plumbing or single-phase electrics – essential
- Pool Plant Operator Qualification (STA or equivalent) – essential
- A strong focus on customer service and member satisfaction
- Great communication, listening and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Full driving licence or ability to travel efficiently between sites (for multi-site roles)
