The UK's leading specialist fitness and leisure recruitment agency is seeking a Health Club Manager for a brand-new wellness-led health club within a stunning hotel estate setting. This role offers the opportunity to build, shape, and lead a health club operation almost from the ground up, setting standards, creating systems, and putting your personal stamp on a unique wellness offering.
The Concept
The health club sits within extensive landscaped grounds and is undergoing a full regeneration. New facilities and treatments being introduced include:
- Advanced recovery and biohacking experiences
- Holistic and alternative wellness treatments
- Cold & heat therapies
- Spa and pool experiences
- Group training, coaching, and personal training
This is a full-spectrum wellness offer, not just a gym.
The Role
As Gym & Health Club Manager, you’ll have ownership of the entire leisure operation — from gym floor culture to commercial performance. You’ll:
- Lead from the front on the gym floor, inspiring members and guests
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing fitness and leisure team
- Drive member onboarding, assessments, and ongoing progress reviews
- Ensure facilities are safe, welcoming, and consistently well-presented
- Work closely with the wider hotel team to maximise guest experience and revenue
- Lead local marketing initiatives, social media, referrals, and community engagement
This is a hands-on leadership role — perfect for someone who enjoys being operational, visible, and influential.
About You
You’ll be an experienced leisure or fitness manager who thrives in an environment where you can build rather than inherit. You’ll ideally have:
- A genuine passion for fitness, wellness, and emerging industry trends
- Strong leadership presence and coaching mindset
- Experience delivering or overseeing group training and PT
- Level 3 PT qualification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Additional leisure qualifications (lifeguard, pool plant, first aid, etc.) are highly desirable but not essential.
What’s In It For You?
- Genuine autonomy to shape your division
- Long-term career development within a growing hotel group
- Ongoing training, qualifications, and apprenticeships
- Complimentary or discounted leisure membership
- Significant discounts on hotels, food, and beverage
- Cycle to work scheme
- Employee assistance and wellbeing support
- Wage streaming and financial wellbeing resources
- Increasing annual leave
- On-site parking and travel discounts
If you’re a progressive fitness or leisure leader who wants more than just managing a gym — someone excited by wellness, innovation, and creating exceptional experiences — this role offers something genuinely different.
