This is a freelance-based opportunity for an average recurring x1 / 2 monthly group bookings. Successful candidates will need to be registered as self-employed. We currently require a trainer available for x1-2 monthly group induction plus ad-hoc appointments. In addition, we’d want the candidate to be available to cover classes and inductions at another Reading-based site in RG1 8DQ, which usually take place on Monday evenings between 6pm-8pm.
The role will involve delivering gym induction sessions in small group and 1-1 settings dependent on client requests, upselling as well as delivering our Personal Training services. This is a great opportunity for any self-employed trainers looking to earn additional income, with potential to develop a PT client base within the sites inductions are delivered at.
The pay rate offered is £21 per group induction delivered (30mins), £30 per 1-1 induction delivered (45mins) and £35 per personal training session (60mins) delivered.
You will be highly approachable, energetic and work with attention to detail, providing a high level of customer service to prospective members of the residential gym.
Job specifics will include:
- Delivering comprehensive group gym facility inductions to include the gym, studio, and leisure areas.
- Upon request, delivering specialized 1-1 gym induction sessions consisting of an additional PT consultation and taster session within the appointments.
- Delivering group exercise classes themed on specific fitness targets, involving participants of mixed abilities.
- Delivering planned, client-specific personal training sessions.
- Managing your administration duties, such as marking attendance for any appointments delivered on our platform.
- Delivery of in-depth group inductions including demonstrations of how to operate all cardiovascular equipment, resistance equipment and any accessory equipment including free weights.
- Being thorough with each induction session on aspects surrounding health and safety protocol and leisure facility rules.
- Ensuring that resident documents such as health statements and disclaimer forms are completed.
- Ensuring the attendance for all appointments carried out is updated in a timely manner.
- Liaising with motive8 head office management team to ensure that delivery is consistent and managed professionally.
- Providing advice and guidance to help residents succeed with their fitness journey.
You will be an effective communicator and maintain communication between all relevant parties in a professional manner, working with guidelines provided on the essentials to be covered within an induction. You should also have experience in delivering fitness training sessions, and have a confident and articulate approach to the way you work.
Please note you do need to hold valid self-employed insurance (or willing to obtain), as well as a valid Level 3 Personal Training Certification in order to be considered for the role.
