Position Title: Pilates Instructor
Location: London
Status: Hourly + Bonus + Commission
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Pilates Instructor is to provide safe, effective group Pilates instruction in accordance with all Club Pilates guidelines and expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates education (including Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
- Up-to-date CPR & First Aid training and willingness to maintain
- Comfortable learning and adding TRX, Functional Standing Movement (Barre), and TriggerPoint modalities to repertoire
- Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and attention to safety
- Proven ability to instruct group reformer classes with modifications for different individuals
- Experience teaching 6 or more participants in apparatus-based group classes
- Maintain open availability for at least 6 hours (2 shifts) per week
- Passion for learning and willingness to complete continued education trainings or workshops
- Team player
- Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Professional and effective communication skills, including public speaking
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to recognize areas for improvement and communicate proactively with management
- Strong problem-solving skills with good judgment
- Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management, and other instructors
- Professional, neat, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in (or ability to learn) ClubReady software for basic use
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide Pilates instruction (intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private sessions) as scheduled by management and according to Club Pilates standards
- Skillfully and safely use various equipment during classes, including hand weights, Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle, and others
- Visually inspect equipment before classes to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Maintain studio tidiness and equipment standards as set by management
- Arrive on time for scheduled classes or sessions
- Participate in networking/community events to help generate new business
- Stay updated with and implement Club Pilates education standards
- Maintain honesty and integrity
- Perform any other duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to think and process information quickly and accurately.
