Nuforma Pilates Surrey Quays is looking for positive, personable and enthusiastic instructors to join our team as we open our brand-new state-of-the-art Reformer Pilates studio in South East London. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about helping anybody at any level make tangible progress through our personalised Reformer Pilates offering. If you are looking for a career in Pilates fitness personal training and wellness, we provide full training and would love to hear from you. We strongly believe in hiring based on passion and attitude rather than solely experience or qualifications. Our goal is to build a team that ensures every member feels comfortable, confident and truly supported through an individualised Pilates experience.

Working With Us

We offer flexible working hours and are open to both part-time (20 hours) and freelance instructors. For those seeking consistency, we can provide regular shifts, sick pay and paid annual leave.

Nuforma offers a bespoke and guided approach to Reformer Pilates. Our on-screen programmes combined with attentive in-studio instructors ensure that anyone at any level can train confidently and progress month-on-month. There is a natural progression pathway based on experience level from activation and balance through to strength, toning and mobilisation. We also offer specialist programmes for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Being a positive, welcoming team member who genuinely cares about members and community.
  • Acting as a confident and friendly first point of contact.
  • Building strong relationships with members and fellow instructors.
  • Communicating positively and professionally within the team.
  • Providing timely adjustments, feedback and teaching points during sessions.
  • Highlighting the unique benefits of Nuforma versus traditional Reformer Pilates.
  • Supporting members in using the Nuforma Pilates App and interactive content.
  • Guiding assigned members through their Nuforma journey.
  • Identifying opportunities for 1-to-1 personal training.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Supporting group classes, events, social media content and marketing initiatives.
  • Offering enhanced support to ensure workouts are safe, effective and inclusive.
  • Acting as a trusted source of guidance, wellness knowledge and motivation.

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Mat or Reformer Pilates qualification.
  • Level 2 or higher fitness qualification.
  • Personal training qualification.
  • Dance qualification.

Mentorship & Development

You will be mentored by owner Matt Burton who has over 15 years experience in elite sport and fitness. Matt is an ex-international athlete and performance consultant and has successfully built Fitness Space Surrey Quays into a thriving community-focused business since 2018.

Salary & Package

Part-Time (20 hours): £15,000 per annum.

Team bonuses. Opportunity for 1-to-1 personal training commission.
