Our client is a leading provider in its field, trusted by major gym chains, sports teams and elite athletes across the globe. They're looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead B2B sales across fitness, elite sport and other vertical channels throughout the North of the UK, working closely with the Head of Commercial to drive growth with key customers.
This is a genuine opportunity to be a senior voice within a small, high-performing UK team, with real scope to shape strategy rather than simply execute it. It's a business where product quality speaks for itself, which makes selling it a far easier conversation.
On offer is a strong bonus and car allowance on top of base salary, a genuinely collaborative culture across sales, marketing and product, and a clear path to grow your influence as the UK team scales.
Working pattern: Field-based, four days a week, covering the North of England with travel to national accounts, client sites and events as needed, and occasional evenings or weekends for shows and deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- New business: Progressing leads to closed won through visits, calls and personal interactions, working independently and with support from the wider sales and marketing team.
- Sales targets: Meeting and overachieving monthly and yearly revenue and margin targets for the region and key accounts.
- Account management: Growing long-term business with national and regional fitness chain accounts, protecting and building repeat revenue.
- Lead generation: Using your own network and relationships to grow the volume and quality of leads alongside the marketing team.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with logistics, finance, marketing, product and customer service to support existing customers.
- Reporting: Keeping sales, lead and activity data accurate and up to date to reflect a live view of progress across the region.
About you:
- Sector experience: Strong field-sales background within fitness and elite sport, with existing contacts across the industry.
- Commercial skill: A confident negotiator who closes deals and works well against stretching targets.
- Relationship management: Comfortable representing a brand to a high standard in person, online and across other channels.
- Systems: Experienced working with CRM and sales tracking software such as Salesforce.
- Personal drive: Resilient, hands-on and genuinely passionate about sport and fitness, with the leadership qualities to guide small projects or teams.
- Flexibility: Willing to travel for events and trade shows, and to work occasional evenings or weekends when needed.
What's in it for you:
- Lending of kit to use at home
- Support for your ongoing personal and professional progression.
- Pension and free life insurance.
- Staff discount on accessories.
- Onsite training zone and a genuinely collaborative workspace.
- 26 days holiday a year plus bank holidays.
