Love leading people? Thrive in a busy environment? Prefer being out on the floor rather than stuck behind a desk? We’re looking for an energetic Assistant Manager to join a successful leisure and entertainment venue in Essex.

This is a hands-on management role where you’ll be right at the heart of the operation – leading the team, looking after guests, driving standards and making sure the venue delivers a brilliant experience every day.

We’re particularly keen to speak to people from leisure or hospitality backgrounds who understand what it takes to manage a busy customer-facing operation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation of the venue. You’ll be:

  • Leading and motivating the team on shift
  • Creating a fun, welcoming and memorable guest experience
  • Keeping standards high across all areas of the venue
  • Supporting food, beverage and hospitality operations
  • Helping drive sales and overall commercial performance
  • Coaching team members and helping them develop
  • Managing opening and closing shifts
  • Ensuring health, safety and operational standards are consistently delivered
  • Getting stuck in when it gets busy – this is very much a hands-on role!

Who Are We Looking For?

You don’t need to come from exactly the same type of venue. You could currently be working in leisure, hospitality, fitness, competitive socialising, family entertainment, restaurants or another fast-paced customer environment. What matters is that you can lead people and bring the right energy.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • A genuine passion for customer service
  • Confidence leading a team in a busy environment
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • A commercial mindset and an understanding of sales
  • Plenty of energy and a positive, can-do approach
  • The ambition to continue developing your management career

You might currently be an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, Operations Manager, Hospitality Manager, F&B Manager, Guest Experience Manager, Fitness Manager or Senior Supervisor looking for your next step.

The Opportunity

This is a business that’s all about great experiences, great teams and having fun while delivering results. You’ll be joining a fast-paced venue where every day brings something different, with plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and progress.
