Are you a high-energy leisure or hospitality leader who loves being right at the heart of the action?

We’re looking for a Deputy General Manager to join a fast-paced, high-volume family entertainment venue in Bristol. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys leading teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences and helping to drive the commercial performance of a busy operation.

This definitely isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk.

The Role

Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running and performance of the venue.

You’ll be visible, hands-on and front and centre with your team – coaching people, solving problems, maintaining brilliant operational standards and making sure every customer has a fantastic experience.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating and developing a large and diverse team

• Supporting the recruitment, training and development of the management team

• Driving exceptional standards of customer service and engagement

• Supporting revenue growth, profitability and overall commercial performance

• Managing labour, costs and key operational KPIs

• Ensuring events and parties are delivered brilliantly

• Maintaining excellent health & safety and operational standards

• Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and grow the business

• Developing your team and helping to create future leaders

Who Are We Looking For?

You’ll already have management experience within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This could be leisure, hospitality, competitive socialising, family entertainment, events, visitor attractions or another busy multi-faceted operation.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who brings energy to the room. You’ll be confident managing a large team, comfortable with the numbers and equally happy jumping onto the floor when things get busy.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong leadership and people-management experience

• Experience developing and coaching teams

• Good commercial awareness and confidence working with KPIs

• Experience managing labour and operational costs

• A genuine passion for delivering brilliant customer experiences

• Experience within a busy leisure, hospitality, entertainment or events environment

• A good understanding of health & safety and compliance

• The ability to stay calm, positive and solutions-focused when things get busy
