This is not a conventional Head of Marketing role.
We’re working with an established premium travel operator with an international customer base, significant marketing investment and ambitious plans for growth.
The business already has strong agency partners, extensive customer and content insight, HubSpot and established paid acquisition. Now it wants to build a smarter, more commercially effective marketing function – combining great people, specialist partners, AI, automation and excellent human judgement. And we’re looking for the person to lead it.
The role
You’ll take ownership of marketing across customer acquisition, lifecycle, content, digital experience, paid media, brand, measurement and agency performance. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll set the direction, but you’ll also be comfortable getting into the detail – improving customer journeys, challenging paid media, developing CRM and lifecycle marketing, strengthening CRO and using data to make better commercial decisions.
AI is central to what comes next.
We’re looking for someone who already uses modern AI as part of how they think and work – not someone hoping to learn it after joining. You might already be building repeatable AI workflows across research, reporting, customer insight, campaign development, content, creative production, CRO, testing or marketing operations. You’ll understand how to give AI the right context and source material, choose different tools for different jobs, automate repetitive work and, importantly, know where human judgement still matters.
You don’t need to be a software engineer. But you do need to be a genuine technology power user who enjoys experimenting, building useful workflows and exploring how AI can make a marketing function better.
If your current AI use is mainly asking ChatGPT to write copy, this probably isn’t the role for you.
What we’re looking for
- You may already be a Head of Marketing, or you could be an exceptional Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Lead or Growth Marketing leader ready for your next step. Your experience matters more than your title.
- Strong commercial B2C marketing experience
- Advanced practical use of AI within your day-to-day marketing
- Strong hands-on HubSpot experience across CRM, segmentation, lifecycle, workflows, automation and reporting
- A good understanding of paid acquisition, particularly Google and Meta
- Experience across websites, CRO, creative testing, content and customer journeys
- Strong commercial analysis, measurement and reporting skills
- The confidence to challenge agencies and specialists – and step into the detail yourself when required
Experience within premium travel, leisure, hospitality, luxury, lifestyle or another high-consideration consumer business would be particularly relevant, although direct travel experience isn’t essential.
The opportunity
This is an unusual opportunity to rethink how an established marketing function operates at a time when AI is fundamentally changing what’s possible. You’ll have genuine permission to challenge existing processes, test new tools and decide what should be delivered by people, agencies, automation or AI. The goal isn’t to build the biggest marketing team. It’s to build a small, highly capable marketing function that delivers exceptional commercial results.
You’ll work closely with the founder during the initial transition before taking increasing ownership of the function.
If you’re a commercially minded marketer who combines strong marketing judgement with genuine hands-on AI and technology capability, we’d love to hear from you.
