Flexible hours tailored to the successful candidate

City Padel Plymouth is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and people-driven Club Assistant to help deliver an outstanding experience for our players and team.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the club, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves customer service, and enjoys being part of a team.

The Role

As Club Assistant, you’ll be one of the faces of City Padel Plymouth — helping ensure the club runs smoothly day-to‑day, our players feel welcomed, and the club maintains the highest standards.

Applicants with barista training and café/bar/hospitality experience would be highly desirable, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Communication

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with current and prospective players
  • Welcome all players in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries, providing accurate information about the club, padel, and services
  • Relay relevant information and feedback to the management team

Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the club (bins, toilets, communal areas)

Team Support

  • Work closely with the wider team to help deliver a positive club environment
  • Support daily reception and café operations
  • Contribute ideas to improve the overall member and guest experience

Bookings, Scheduling & Promotion

  • Assist with facility scheduling, court bookings, matches, and rentals
  • Help promote spare spaces on courses and courts via WhatsApp and Instagram
  • Ensure booking systems are accurate and up to date

Café & Retail Support

Applicants with barista training and previous café/bar/hospitality experience would be preferred but are not essential.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked café and retail area
  • Prepare and monitor toasties and baked goods
  • Ensure the coffee machine is maintained and kept clean
  • Help keep pricing and offerings updated and communicated clearly
