Focus Fitness is seeking a part-time Fitness Tutor and Assessor based in London, offering a salary of £26,000-£30,000 Pro Rata plus Bonus (£2K - £5K). The role involves delivering and assessing high-quality courses in accordance with standards, ensuring compliance with planning and evaluation requirements, and guiding learners through their portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and assessing high-quality courses to provide learners with a memorable and effective learning experience.
  • Ensuring full compliance with planning and evaluation requirements, including lesson plans and schemes of work.
  • Guiding learners through their portfolio to complete units accurately and on time.
  • Tracking all written and practical assessments and collating evidence of student achievement for verification.
  • Monitoring learner’s Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensuring reviews are actioned as per the timetable.

Requirements:

  • Experience of teaching and delivery in various settings, including sport and exercise.
  • Approachable, fair, and possessing a great sense of humour.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and ICT skills.
  • Level 2 Gym Instructor QCF qualification.
  • Level 3 Personal Training QCF qualification.
  • Minimum Level 3 Award in education and training.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Desirable qualifications include Level 2 / 3 / 4 in Delivering Information, Advice and Guidance, Level 3 Assessors award, Level 3 / 4 SEN Qualification, and Level 4 IQA Qualification.
