Common Purpose Training, Mayfair, London

£25,000 Base + £30,000+ OTE | Full-Time | Career Development Pathway

Looking to start your PT career properly? If you’ve recently qualified (or are early in your PT career) and want more than just renting space in a gym, this could be a great fit. At Common Purpose, we offer a structured, full-time coaching role where you can build real experience, develop your skills, and grow a consistent client base — all within a supportive team.

About Us

  • We’re a premium personal training gym based in Mayfair, focused on:
    • High-quality coaching
    • Long-term client results
    • A strong team culture
    • Developing great coaches

Our main service is semi-private personal training, where you coach small groups following tailored programmes. It’s a great way to build confidence, improve your coaching, and work with a range of clients.

The Role

You’ll be working as part of a coaching team, delivering sessions on the gym floor and building your own client list. This includes:

  • Coaching 1-1 and small group sessions
  • Supporting clients with training, consistency, and progress
  • Learning how to programme and coach effectively
  • Building strong relationships with clients
  • Working alongside other coaches and learning from them

You won’t be left to figure things out on your own — we provide structure and support from day one.

Who This Is For

We’re looking for trainers who are:

  • Level 3 qualified
  • Already working (or have worked) in a gym
  • Good with people and enjoy coaching
  • Keen to learn and improve
  • Reliable and professional
  • Looking for a long‑term role in the industry

This role is ideal if you want to move away from:

  • Paying rent in a gym
  • Inconsistent income
  • Figuring everything out alone

What You’ll Get

  • £25,000 base salary
  • £30,000+ expected earnings in your first year
  • A clear development pathway
  • Mentorship from experienced coaches
  • A consistent flow of clients to work with
  • A team environment (not a freelance PT model)

Progression

We have a clear pathway as you develop: Personal Trainer → Senior PT → Elite PT → Leadership / Management. As we grow, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and increase your earning potential.

How to Apply

Send your CV along with a short message covering:

  • Why you got into personal training
  • What you’re looking for next
  • What you want to improve as a coach

Final Note

We’re not looking for perfect coaches, we’re looking for great potential with the right attitude. If you’re motivated, coachable, and serious about building a career in fitness, we’d love to hear from you.
