We are recruiting for an Experienced Fitness Tutor and Assessor at Focus Fitness. The company's vision is to create successful and passionate fitness professionals who inspire and unlock potential in people. The role involves mentoring and coaching students throughout their courses.
With over 2,000 successful graduates, you will help build relationships with students and support their progress from individual journeys to career advancements.
Responsibilities:- Deliver and assess high‐quality courses in accordance with standards, the awarding organisation and inspection expectations, providing a memorable and effective learning experience.
- Ensure full compliance with planning and evaluation requirements, including lesson plans and schemes of work, and employ differentiation strategies and techniques in all sessions.
- Guide learners through their portfolio to enable accurate and timely completion of units.
- Track written and practical assessments, collate evidence of student achievement for verification.
- Monitor learners' ILPs, ensuring reviews are actioned per timetable and all paperwork is completed.
- Senior experience of teaching and delivery in sport and exercise settings.
- Approachable, fair, and a great sense of humour.
- Excellent presentation, communication and ICT skills.
- Level 2 Gym Instructor QCF qualification.
- Level 3 Personal Training QCF qualification.
- Minimum Level 3 Award in education and training.
- Level 4 IQA qualification – desirable.
- Availability to work weekends.
- Level 2/3/4 in Delivering, Information, Advice and Guidance – desirable.
- Level 3 Assessors award – desirable.
- Level 3/4 SEN qualification – desirable.
