The Pilates Instructor is responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and effective group Pilates instruction in accordance with all Club Pilates guidelines and expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates certification, including: Mat, Reformer, Chair, Springboard
- Experience working with supporting Pilates apparatus beyond the reformer, including: Cadillac, Springboard, Chair
- Up-to-date CPR & First Aid certification (and willingness to maintain)
- Comfortable learning and incorporating additional modalities, including: TRX, Functional Standing Movement (Barre), TriggerPoint
- Strong anatomical knowledge with a high attention to safety
- Proven ability to teach group reformer classes, with modifications for varying abilities
- Experience teaching 6 or more participants in apparatus-based group classes
- Open availability for a minimum of 6 hours (2 shifts) per week
- Passion for continued learning and willingness to complete ongoing education and workshops
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confident public speaking ability
- Punctual, reliable, and professional at all times
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and communicate proactively with management
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Ability to work harmoniously with clients, management, and fellow instructors
- Professional, neat, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in (or willing to learn) Mindbody software for basic use
Essential Duties
- Deliver Pilates instruction including: Group apparatus classes, Private and semi-private sessions, Special/private events
- Ensure safe and effective use of all equipment, including but not limited to: Reformer, Chair, Springboard, TRX, Hand weights, Magic Circle
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment prior to each class to ensure safety and functionality
- Maintain studio cleanliness and return equipment according to studio standards
- Arrive 10–15 minutes prior to each scheduled class or session
- Participate in marketing initiatives and community events as needed
- Stay current with and implement all Club Pilates education standards
- Uphold honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times
