Big venue. Multiple revenue streams. A large team. And definitely not a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. We’re looking for a high-energy, commercially minded General Manager to lead a busy, fast-paced leisure and hospitality venue. You’ll be front and centre – visible with your team, engaging with customers, driving standards and constantly looking for ways to make the venue perform even better.

This is a genuinely multi-faceted operation, with different departments, customer experiences and revenue streams all under one roof. You’ll need to be comfortable switching between people, operations, hospitality, sales, events and commercial performance – sometimes all in the same hour!

The Role

No two days will look quite the same. You could be coaching one of your managers, reviewing yesterday’s sales, checking the customer journey, looking at an upcoming event or spotting an opportunity to drive additional revenue. You’ll bring all the different parts of the venue together, making sure the operation runs brilliantly while never losing sight of the numbers. There’s real commercial responsibility here. You’ll own the P&L, understand what is driving performance and look for opportunities to grow revenue across the venue – whether that’s through increasing visits, events and parties, hospitality, secondary spend or building stronger relationships within the local community.

At the same time, you’ll build and develop a fantastic team, creating an environment where people are engaged, standards are high and customers genuinely enjoy spending time.

High Energy. Highly Visible. Commercially Sharp. We’re looking for someone who loves being where the action is. You’ll naturally walk the floor, talk to customers, know your team and understand exactly what is happening across your venue. You’ll bring energy to the people around you and be able to lead through others, developing strong managers who take ownership of their individual areas.

But this isn’t just about being a great people person. You’ll need to be commercially switched on too. You’ll understand your numbers, know which revenue streams are performing, spot opportunities for growth and be confident making decisions that positively impact sales, margin and profitability.

What We’re Looking For?

Your background could be in leisure, hospitality, attractions, competitive socialising, family entertainment, health and fitness or another high-volume experiential business. More important than the exact sector is your experience of leading a busy, multi-faceted venue with multiple departments and revenue streams. You’ll be comfortable with P&L ownership and KPIs, have experience leading and developing a sizeable team and know how to balance operational standards with commercial performance and a fantastic customer experience.

Above all, we’re looking for personality, presence and energy. Someone who can walk into a venue and lift it. Someone who wants to be amongst their customers and their team. And someone who gets excited by the challenge of bringing together people, hospitality, entertainment and multiple revenue streams to create a brilliant, commercially successful venue. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
