About you as the UI Designer:
We are looking for a hands-on UI Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of shaping the visual experience of our financial technology products. You'll be responsible for creating polished, user-friendly interfaces across our suite of products while maintaining consistency with our established design system.
Essential Experience of the UI Designer:
- It is essential that the right candidate comes from a financial services background, preferably loans/lending and has experience with payments.
- Strong online portfolio demonstrating attention to visual detail, layout, and component-based design.
- Proven experience in UI design for web mobile applications and websites.
- Proficient in Figma.
- Ability to work with an established Design System to enhance or add to it with effective, user-friendly UI components.
- Familiarity with atomic design principles and UI kits.
Desirable Experience of the UI Designer:
- Ability to provide feedback or minor UX suggestions, even if not leading UX efforts.
Duties of the UI Designer:
- 70%: Work from a backlog made using pre-established ruleset.
- 20%: Respond to ad-hoc requests regarding existing journeys (for example, UI of the recent integrations).
- 10%: Consistently improve the UI toolkit already in place for future projects.
- Collaborate with our Product Designer to implement visually appealing solutions for approved user experiences.
- Work within our established design system to maintain consistency across all products.
- Create and maintain UI component libraries in Figma.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Design and maintain the UI for our peer-to-peer lending application, ensuring a seamless experience for both lenders and borrowers.
- Evolve and enhance our company website to effectively communicate our brand and services.
- Continuously improve our customer dashboard, making complex financial information easily digestible.
- Optimise our application form interface to maximise conversion rates while maintaining a user-friendly experience.
- Create intuitive interfaces for our internal underwriting tool used by our finance team.
