Are you a gymnastics coach looking for a new opportunity? Would you like to work for an established gymnastics club in the Pontefract and Castleford area? Flexi Totz are looking to take on a new Gymnastics Coach to work at their sites in Castleford, Pontefract, Featherstone and Knottingley with children aged 3-9. This is on a 16-hour basis with weekday evenings and weekend work required. If you hold a gymnastics qualification, then we would love to hear from you.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team at Flexi Totz. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching high-quality gymnastics sessions as part of our recreational gymnastics programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality recreational gymnastics classes following our established programme.
- Supervise and guide Assistant Gymnastics Coaches and young leaders.
- Follow club lesson plans and provide feedback on sessions and participant progression.
- Complete all administrative duties including attendance registers, badge sheets, and certificates.
- Maintain the class resource bag with necessary materials.
- Handle class payments and submit to the main office bi-weekly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding progress and concerns.
- Complete all required programme monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure safe setup and checks of all gymnastics equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the gymnastics team with additional duties as required such as shows and competitions.
- Feedback regularly to senior leadership team with ideas and information from sessions.
Requirements
- Gymnastics coaching qualification (pay based on qualification and experience).
- Experience teaching gymnastics to young children.
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
- Good organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.
