As a play worker you will work closely with the manager and rest of the team supporting all day-to-day aspects of running the clubs at your school!

As a activities leader you don’t necessarily need any specific experience, but you will ideally have…

  • A Passion for Working with Children – we’re looking for someone to provide inclusive, fun, and engaging provision for the children in your care, while inspiring them to explore their interests

  • Enthusiasm and Organisation Skills – you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of activities with structure and enthusiasm. This includes a wide range of activities, including multi-sports, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, downtime and structured play

  • Responsibility and Reliability – the safety and enjoyment of the children in your care will be your responsibility and all team members are required to follow specific policies and procedures, including completing Accident and Incident Forms and Health & Safety checks as needed, and the children and families also benefit from consistently reliable staff

  • Communication and Engagement – all Play Workers are expected to conduct themselves professionally and communicate effectively with all team members, parents, children and schools on a daily basis. You will be a representative of the organisation’s brand so it’s key to always be a pleasure to be around!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, creating fun and engaging activities safety with loads of energy and keen to learn! There may also be the opportunity for additional hours during half term and holidays if wanted.

This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable). We will conduct a DBS check on your behalf, so please prepare the correct documentation. You must meet these requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.

Monday – Friday role

27.5 hours – Breakfast club 6:45am – 9am & After school Club 2:45pm- 6:00pm

£6.40- £11.44 p/h (dependent on age, qualification and experience)
