Join to apply for the Trustee for Anti‑Knife Crime Charity – Volunteer role at Love and Loss Support. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trustee to join our Board and help guide the charity through its next exciting chapter. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to support a grassroots charity with a powerful lived‑experience mission, we want to hear from you.
What difference will you make? Next year, we hope to redevelop our organizational vision, and we anticipate our trustee will be highly involved in that process.
What are we looking for? We are particularly looking for someone with experience in:
- Charity fundraising and income generation
- Building partnerships and raising organisational profile
- Charity accounts, finance, and governance
- Strategic growth and sustainability
- 7+ years of Board trustee experience
What will you be doing? As a trustee you’ll play an essential role in shaping the future direction of Love and Loss Support and making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people and those affected by loss as a result of violent crime. We expect to make critical decisions about funding and future expansion of our youth projects and support workshops, and the board will lead that change. Recent funding from the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit positions us to take part in several new youth projects in Croydon. However, funding distribution is uneven, so careful resource management is required. We look for trustees who have worked in charities that have undergone major transformations, raised charity awareness through digital media and other platforms, and developed long‑term strategies. Experience in change management is a plus, and a creative streak in digital communications is welcome.
