We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives across the West Midlands & Southwest. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing strategic relationships, expanding our client base, and driving revenue growth within the region of responsibility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established growing organisation, to utilise your expertise in B2B sales, account analysis, and your customer service skills to make a significant impact on our organisation's growth aspirations.

Performance Objectives

  • Achieve or exceed the agreed regional budget inclusive of all product families.
  • Operate a dynamic and effective business plan with responsible accounts and distributors.
  • Develop and deliver a progressive sales pipeline inclusive of all product families.
  • Acquire new direct and indirect trading customers during the financial year in line with strategic growth targets.
  • Manage the completion of sales processes efficiently by supporting and collaborating with all departments.
  • Maintain customer and sales data in a timely, secure and accurate manner within CRM and other reporting processes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with IT systems and software.
  • Manage and report expenditure in accordance with the timescales laid down by the company.
  • Meet the management objectives and agreed competencies laid out for the role development.

Main Tasks

  • Self-generate customer meetings and develop key relationships across the region of responsibility.
  • Develop a good technical understanding of Lovato products and solutions to support customers.
  • Present and demonstrate products and solutions to existing and potential customers.
  • Management of daily enquiries, projects and quotes referred from office &/or self-generated.
  • Implement and manage innovative commercial agreements with customers to secure growth targets.
  • Preparation of regional sales budgets and customer rebates.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic list of prospect customers and strategy sales campaigns.
  • Support & attend trade shows, lunch & learns, and other activities to represent Lovato.
  • Actively support & collaborate with all Lovato departments to help achieve overall company goals.
  • Monitor and report key market trends, new & emerging opportunities, and competitor activity.
  • Undertake any reasonable requests by Management in support of overall company goals.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Performance against sales budget and sales management processes.
  • Performance against business objective targets.
  • Timely reporting and completion of tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • An electrical qualification coupled with demonstrable experience in the sale of industrial automation and/or energy management equipment is preferred but not essential.
  • A clear history of sales in the industrial sector with a clear interest in technology.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • A history of using or maintaining CRM systems.
  • Demonstratable examples of providing excellent B2B customer service.
  • Working with distributors/wholesalers/resellers.

Requirements

  • A current and clean drivers license.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel freely within the region of responsibility.
  • Must live on patch (Region of responsibility), which currently includes postcodes - DY, B, CV, WR, WV, WS, ST, TF, GL, SN, HR, NP, CF, SA, LD, SY.
