An opportunity has arisen to join the UK team of our globally established and innovative organisation that has been providing industrial electrical control, automation and energy management solutions into various industries for 104 years. Increased customer demand for our solutions means we are looking to expand our external sales team and seek a professional Regional Sales Manager that will help us achieve our growth aspirations in the South of England. The successful candidate will be results driven, can demonstrate the ability to apply our products & solutions into relevant markets and demonstrate exceptional customer service.
This role is being advertised within the region of responsibility, however our main UK office and warehouse is located in Stourbridge in the West Midlands.
Performance Objectives
- Achieve or exceed the agreed regional budget inclusive of all product families.
- Operate a dynamic and effective business plan with responsible accounts and distributors.
- Develop and deliver a progressive sales pipeline inclusive of all product families.
- Acquire new direct and indirect trading customers during the financial year in line with strategic growth targets.
- Manage the completion of sales processes efficiently by supporting and collaborating with all departments.
- Maintain customer and sales data in a timely, secure and accurate manner within CRM and other reporting processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency with IT systems and software.
- Manage and report expenditure in accordance with the timescales laid down by the company.
- Meet the management objectives and agreed competencies laid out for the role development.
Main Tasks
- This is an external customer facing role with the ability to work from a suitable home office to carry out administrative tasks.
- Self-generate customer meetings and develop key relationships across the complete buying centre.
- Develop a good technical understanding of Lovato products and solutions to support customers.
- Present and demonstrate products and solutions to existing and potential customers.
- Management of daily enquiries, projects and quotes referred from office &/or self-generated.
- Implement and manage innovative commercial agreements with customers to secure growth targets.
- Preparation of regional sales budgets and customer rebates.
- Demonstrate a dynamic list of prospect customers and strategy sales campaigns.
- Support & attend trade shows, lunch & learns, and other activities to represent Lovato.
- Actively support & collaborate with all Lovato departments to help achieve overall company goals.
- Monitor and report key market trends, new & emerging opportunities, and competitor activity.
- Undertake any reasonable requests by Management in support of overall company goals.
Key Performance Indicators
- Performance against sales budget and sales management processes.
- Performance against business objective targets.
- Data entry and maintenance with the CRM system.
- Self-generating appointments with customers and distributors to promote Lovato.
Qualifications & Experience
- An electrical qualification coupled with demonstrable experience in the sale of industrial control, automation and/or energy management equipment is preferred. Or transferable skills from an industrial technical background.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- The ability to be self-motivated, to work using one's own initiative without direct supervision.
- A current, clean driving license.
Candidate Location Requirements
The successful candidate shall have a permanent residence within the region of responsibility, within easy access of the main road networks to support daily customer and distributor engagement. BS, SN, RG, HP, LU, AL, EN, RM, ME & CT postcodes form the northern border of the region of responsibility. All postcodes south of those mentioned make up the remaining responsible region.
